## Connectivity in Attercliffe Station

What is actually licensed and built around here — the starting point for any coverage job.

| Measure | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Nearest licensed site | 2.8 km south · Bell · 90 m structure |
| Licensed sites within 10 km | 7 (Bell, Rogers) |
| Fibre | No fibre build announced here yet |
| Also available | Starlink, fixed wireless |

**What this does and does not tell you.** These are licensed radio sites from ISED’s spectrum database — where carriers are permitted to transmit. It is not measured coverage. A site three kilometres away can be useless if it is behind a rise or its antennas point elsewhere, and a distant one on a tall tower with clear line of sight can be perfectly good. Whether a booster will work at your address comes down to what actually reaches your roof, which is a survey, not a calculation. ## What the work looks like in Attercliffe Station

Places that exist because of a station tend to be strung along a line rather than clustered around a square, and that shape matters: properties are spread out along a road rather than gathered, so there is rarely a single good spot from which to cover several of them. Each holding is its own job.

With nothing announced in either phase of the Metro Loop build, the realistic plan here is satellite or fixed wireless as the permanent connection. That is not a reason to do less work on the property — it is a reason to do more, because when the uplink is the constraint, the internal network has to be efficient rather than just present.

## What people here ask for

- Satellite and fixed-wireless installs treated as permanent
- Per-property network design rather than shared coverage
- Cameras that record locally on a constrained uplink
