## Connectivity in Nanticoke

What is actually licensed and built around here — the starting point for any coverage job.

| Measure | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Nearest licensed site | 1.5 km north-east · Rogers · 100 m structure |
| Licensed sites within 10 km | 7 (Bell, Rogers, TELUS) |
| Fibre | Metro Loop / Xplore fibre is under construction here |
| Also available | Starlink, fixed wireless |

**What this does and does not tell you.** These are licensed radio sites from ISED’s spectrum database — where carriers are permitted to transmit. It is not measured coverage. A site three kilometres away can be useless if it is behind a rise or its antennas point elsewhere, and a distant one on a tall tower with clear line of sight can be perfectly good. Whether a booster will work at your address comes down to what actually reaches your roof, which is a survey, not a calculation. ## What the work looks like in Nanticoke

Heavy industry brings contractors, and contractors bring yards — equipment compounds, laydown areas, fabrication shops. These are the properties where a camera system is an operational requirement rather than a nice-to-have, and where the network side matters too: cameras that have to reach a building four hundred metres away across a yard are a point-to-point job before they are a camera job.

The surrounding area is still farm and lakeshore property waiting on the fibre build, so the two halves of the work sit side by side here — industrial installs on one road and acreage coverage on the next.
