## Connectivity in Rainham Centre

What is actually licensed and built around here — the starting point for any coverage job.

| Measure | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Nearest licensed site | 3.5 km north-east · Rogers · 91 m structure |
| Licensed sites within 10 km | 6 (Bell, Rogers) |
| Fibre | No fibre build announced here yet |
| Also available | Starlink, fixed wireless |

**What this does and does not tell you.** These are licensed radio sites from ISED’s spectrum database — where carriers are permitted to transmit. It is not measured coverage. A site three kilometres away can be useless if it is behind a rise or its antennas point elsewhere, and a distant one on a tall tower with clear line of sight can be perfectly good. Whether a booster will work at your address comes down to what actually reaches your roof, which is a survey, not a calculation. ## What the work looks like in Rainham Centre

That split is worth understanding before buying anything. Being left out of a build phase is not a judgement about a place — it follows road routing and density — but it does mean two neighbouring hamlets are on completely different timelines. If you are here and your neighbour four kilometres away is getting fibre next year, that does not mean you are.

Practically, it argues for treating satellite or fixed wireless as the long-term connection rather than a stopgap, and spending the money on the inside of the property instead. The distribution work — links to the barn, cameras on the yard, access points that actually cover the shop — holds its value regardless of what eventually feeds it.

## What people here ask for

- Long-horizon satellite and fixed-wireless installs
- Farm distribution work that outlives whatever feeds it
- Cameras on machinery and fuel storage
