## Connectivity in Springvale

What is actually licensed and built around here — the starting point for any coverage job.

| Measure | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Nearest licensed site | 4 km east · Rogers · 100 m structure |
| Licensed sites within 10 km | 7 (Bell, Rogers, TELUS, Xplore) |
| Fibre | No fibre build announced here yet |
| Also available | Starlink, fixed wireless |

**What this does and does not tell you.** These are licensed radio sites from ISED’s spectrum database — where carriers are permitted to transmit. It is not measured coverage. A site three kilometres away can be useless if it is behind a rise or its antennas point elsewhere, and a distant one on a tall tower with clear line of sight can be perfectly good. Whether a booster will work at your address comes down to what actually reaches your roof, which is a survey, not a calculation. ## What the work looks like in Springvale

Four carriers in range is the widest mix of any hamlet in the county, and it changes the booster conversation. Where most rural surveys are about finding whether there is enough of one signal to amplify, here it is often about which carrier to aim at — and a household on two different networks may need the external antenna pointed somewhere that suits both.

The flip side is that there is no wired plan. With nothing announced in either Metro Loop phase, the properties out here are on satellite or fixed wireless indefinitely, and the network design has to assume that rather than treat it as temporary. Cameras record locally; anything that depends on a fast, always-up uplink is the wrong specification for Springvale.

## What people here ask for

- Multi-carrier booster surveys where households are on different networks
- Systems designed around satellite or fixed wireless as permanent, not interim
- Farm outbuilding links and cameras
