## Connectivity in Townsend Centre

What is actually licensed and built around here — the starting point for any coverage job.

| Measure | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Nearest licensed site | 4.6 km west · Bell · 74 m structure |
| Licensed sites within 10 km | 6 (Bell, Rogers) |
| Fibre | SWIFT / Rogers fibre is available here |
| Also available | Starlink |

**What this does and does not tell you.** These are licensed radio sites from ISED’s spectrum database — where carriers are permitted to transmit. It is not measured coverage. A site three kilometres away can be useless if it is behind a rise or its antennas point elsewhere, and a distant one on a tall tower with clear line of sight can be perfectly good. Whether a booster will work at your address comes down to what actually reaches your roof, which is a survey, not a calculation. ## What the work looks like in Townsend Centre

A planned build from the 1970s means consistent construction, predictable layouts and lots laid out to a plan — which genuinely does make the residential work easier than in a village that accumulated over a century. Where older Norfolk housing stock fights every cable run, here the routes tend to be where you would expect them.

What it does not solve is distance from a mast. The nearest licensed site is 4.6 km west, so mobile coverage indoors is patchier than the tidy streets suggest, and this is one of the places where a booster does straightforwardly earn its cost.

## What people here ask for

- Residential cameras and coverage in consistent modern housing
- Cell boosters where indoor signal is weak despite the village setting
- Farm work on the surrounding concessions
