## Connectivity in Windham Centre

What is actually licensed and built around here — the starting point for any coverage job.

| Measure | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Nearest licensed site | 2.6 km north · Bell · 70 m structure |
| Licensed sites within 10 km | 6 (Bell, Rogers, Xplore) |
| Fibre | SWIFT fibre is available here |
| Also available | Starlink |

**What this does and does not tell you.** These are licensed radio sites from ISED’s spectrum database — where carriers are permitted to transmit. It is not measured coverage. A site three kilometres away can be useless if it is behind a rise or its antennas point elsewhere, and a distant one on a tall tower with clear line of sight can be perfectly good. Whether a booster will work at your address comes down to what actually reaches your roof, which is a survey, not a calculation. ## What the work looks like in Windham Centre

Ground that has been worked this long accumulates buildings. A holding here will frequently have structures from several different eras standing together — a nineteenth-century bank barn, a mid-century implement shed, a recent steel shop — and each behaves completely differently for signal and for cable. The steel shop blocks everything; the old barn has gaps you could drive through but no straightforward route for a cable; the newer building is easy and is usually the one that already has service.

Being a village rather than a crossroads, it has a small concentrated centre with farms immediately around it, so a short drive covers both residential work and full farm distribution jobs.

## What people here ask for

- Mixed-era farm buildings, each needing a different approach
- Cable routing in nineteenth-century structures
- Residential coverage in the village core
